Authorship and AI assistance
Guides are published by Data Specialists. AI tools assist with research, drafting and website implementation. This site does not claim that a named lawyer, accountant or privacy professional wrote or independently reviewed these articles. The organization byline identifies the publisher responsible for the material.
Sources and interpretation
Factual claims about legal requirements, regulator positions and technical standards link to primary sources where available. The source list explains why each reference is relevant. A regulator’s guidance and the law itself are not interchangeable; jurisdiction, business circumstances and the exact agreement still matter.
The task lists, comparison methods and worksheets are original planning frameworks. They are not prescribed regulatory procedures or claims about a buyer’s internal process.
Examples and commercial claims
Worked examples are labeled hypothetical or illustrative. Their figures explain a calculation, not the market value of a dataset. We do not present estimated proceeds as an offer, use fabricated customer stories, or imply a buyer relationship from a citation.
Dates and corrections
Each guide shows its publication date and source-check context. Modification dates change when substantive content changes. Sources and agreements can change after publication; use the linked original when a decision depends on the exact language.
To flag a factual error, broken reference or unclear passage, use the contact form. Include the page address, the passage and a primary reference if you have one. Do not attach or paste private business records.
Using the material
Use the worksheets internally to organize a discussion. Take unresolved questions about rights, privacy, tax, retention or liability to the appropriate adviser. A completed checklist is not permission to share data.
